Rebecca Conte
Executive Director
After receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in 2007, Conte is now a full time nurse on the Critical Care Unit at Virginia Mason Medical Center. When she is not at the hospital working with patients and their families, Conte focuses her time as the Executive Director of Med25 International.
Throughout nursing school, Conte excelled and was awarded the Sister Mary Ruth Neihoff Award, an award selected by the faculty and presented to the outstanding student who exemplifies professional achievement, academic excellence, and lives out the mission statements of the University and the College of Nursing. In 2008, Conte was awarded the Young Alumni of the Year Award from Seattle University.
Brent Egbert
Field Director- Liberia
After obtaining a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Finance from Seattle Pacific University in 2004, Liberia Field Director Brent Egbert, traveled to Ghana where he worked and lived within the Buduburam Refugee Camp. While the civil war raged on at home, many Liberians fled and the Buduburam Refugee Camp became home to thousands of these refugees for a number years. Brent worked in various capacities while in the camp and from the experience, truly developed a passion for assisting those that are lacking basic needs and serving that demographic in effective and sustainable ways. In light of continuing to pursue this passion, Brent then joined Med25 International in May of 2009 and is currently working as the Field Director for Med25’s operations in Liberia.
Kelsey Egbert
Field Director- Kenya
After graduating from Seattle University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Kelsey has committed her time and energy to bringing quality medical care, hope and inspiration to vulnerable populations around the world. She is currently a Nurse on the Cardiac and Transplant Acute Care Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Kelsey has experience working with a multitude of different cultures both in the USA and abroad. Her experiences include community health work in the Ande Mountains of Peru, and developing a nutritional program in the Dominican Republic. Most recently Kelsey traveled to Kenya in partnership with a non-governmental organization to develop a Pediatric HIV program for children at risk for and infected with HIV/AIDS. Her experience in Kenya helped her to identify a population deeply affected by post-election violence, extreme poverty, and corruption. Throughout her journey she has discovered her passion to serve others, and deeply aligns herself with the mission of Med25, which is to ensure that every human being has a right to QUALITY healthcare.
