Volunteers’ Experiences

“Working with Med25 in Kisumu was truly an unforgettable, life-changing experience. The relationships I formed during my time at Young Generation Center, with the children and staff alike, are unbelievable. I was so fortunate to be able to participate in such a meaningful and promising project in an area full of both need and reward. Med25 is making a real difference in the community through health care and education efforts, listening and acting with locals, and unmistakably impacting the lives of those with whom it comes in contact.”

“Volunteering with Med25 was a wonderful experience because I was invited to see and participating in all that was happening- I was welcomed to watch the work that was being done, to participate in ongoing projects, and to develop new projects based on needs I assessed. There was a balance between structure and freedom, projects that needed completion and free time to learn about the culture of the people. I appreciated the diligence that was taken in developing relationships and finding out what the people needed and coming up with ways to serve those needs. It is encouraging to see the Med25 team care deeply about providing health care that is culturally relevant and sustaining, and it was an honor to participate in the work being done in Kenya”

“I had a life changing experience traveling to Liberia with Med25. The team on the ground is doing amazing work to provide health care to the people of Belle Yella and the surrounding rural areas. I instantly felt at home with the staff and was very well taken care of during my stay. I greatly encourage others to donate their time and expertise as a volunteer with Med25.”

“MED25 has a true desire and passion to serve and offer accessible health care to those living with HIV/AIDS and poverty in Africa.  It was great to work with an organization that listened the desires and needs of the people and acted upon them.  I feel blessed to have been able to volunteer with MED25.”
